ahh i’m actually really conflicted as to whether i like or do not like women telling men/patriarchal institutions to suck their dicks. i think i’d much rather they say LICK ME a la parker posey in dazed and confused…but then, suck my dick IS kind of great, and it’s such a powerful statement, but then ALSO it pretty clearly reinforces misogynistic/sexist values even as it challenges them. like, the idea of sucking someone’s dick as the ultimate symbol of one’s cession of power/dignity is still being supported. i mean, in the end, the patriarchy as an institution still kinda gets off on the use of that phrase because it’s like an ideological autofellating ourobouros*
so i think i’d like that phrase to go away? yeah, actually, i definitely would.
